Animal Shelter Worker Entered The Kennel To Comfort An Abandoned Dog

Being an animal shelter volunteer and assisting animals in need is more than a job; it’s a passion. Here’s the video to prove it. Prissy, the dog, had been living the miserable life of a lonely dog, having been discovered abandoned with no friends in the world, until lately, when her life changed.

She was fortunately rescued and sent to the Conway Area Humane Society in New Hampshire, where she quickly learned what it meant to be loved.

Debra Cameron, the shelter’s administrator, was on her way to Prissy’s kennel to check on her following sterilization surgery when she came across the cutest scenario.

Her coworker Chrissy Ireland was resting on the ground close to Prissy, soothing the dog.

Shelters may appear to some to be the worst place an animal might wind up, yet some people still consider leaving their pets if they are unable to care for them.

But, owing to the wonderful hearts of the staff at this shelter, such as Chrissy, they have hope.

“We provide a caring and safe atmosphere,” Debra remarked. “Animal lovers are caught up in the assumption that all shelters are unhappy places and that anyone who surrenders an animal has done a dreadful thing,” Debra explained.

“They are cared for by skilled, loving, and compassionate individuals who go above and beyond to ensure that the animals in their care live happily and enjoy a healthy existence in the shelter until they find a new home.”

Although Debra is correct that animals can live quietly in certain shelters while waiting for a permanent home, there are some shelters where animals have limited time to find a home and are put on euthanasia lists.
