This heartwarming story of a deaf and blind dog is sure to brighten your day. Plum, her name, is a 10-month-old Australian Shepherd dog with a disability. Aiden Michael Mann, her adoptive father, had problems waking her up from her naps at first since she was always afraid of even the tiniest contact, but now he has discovered the most charming method to do it.
“In July of 2019, I received Plum. She was 6 months old and the most adorable pup. My coworkers work with numerous rescue organizations, and they were caring for her and her brother while they tried to find them a home. When she brought Plum to work, I immediately loved her and loved her.”
Aiden also stated:
“She was a joyful puppy, and I felt she would fit very well with Lola (my other dog). It wasn’t a tough choice; she deserved a loving home and a happy life.”

“I had no clue I’d receive that many views. When I returned and checked TikTok, I was astounded to see their video had gone viral.”

Aiden stated how tough it was for him to interact with Plum owing to his restrictions; it was all a trial and error process.

“The most difficult part was definitely learning to communicate and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Because no two dogs are alike, what works for one may not work for another. So it took a lot of trial and error for us to get on the same page.”

“It took her a while to memorize the house, get acclimated to how things were set up, and get used to how we did things. She and Lola hit it up immediately, and Lola rapidly became her ‘security blanket.’”
