Man Devotes His Life To Adopting Old Dogs Who Can’t Find Forever Homes

Accountant Steve Greig lives in Colorado with 10 dogs, the bulk of whom are senior. He also has two cats, a pig named Bikini, two ducks, two pigeons, two chickens, and one rabbit. He has two cats as well.

Without a doubt, this man adores these creatures. He has devoted the majority of his time to senior dogs, who have a more difficult time finding permanent homes owing to their elderly age.

Growing up, I was surrounded by animals, said Corey. My pet-loving parents almost always agreed to my demands as long as I could care for them.

When Steve initially moved into his own house, he generally had three or four dogs about him, and after one of them died, his passion to help animals grew significantly.

“I was genuinely scared about it passing,” Corey remarked. Even after a few months had gone, I was still unhappy about it. I concluded that the only way to feel better was for something fantastic to happen that would not have happened if he hadn’t died.

After losing his closest friend, this man was determined to give another dog a good life, so he went to a neighboring shelter and adopted the puppy with the least chance of finding a home.

According to Corey, who took home a 12-year-old Chihuahua named Eeyore who had a heart murmur and parts of his legs were in bad shape, it was only the beginning of all creatures.

Greig currently cares for ten dogs, although only eight of them are his; the other two are from his sister and a roommate.

There are 10 dogs, and the majority of them require different diets, so Corey wakes up at five a.m. every day to cook breakfast for everyone.
