Former President Bill Clinton, 78, was hospitalized in Washington, D.C., on Monday afternoon for testing and observation after developing a fever, according to his spokesperson. Clinton, who was taken to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital from his residence, is described as “awake and alert” and is expected to return home for Christmas. Having faced prior health challenges, including a quadruple bypass in 2004 and hernia surgery in 2010, Clinton remains active, recently promoting his book *Citizen: My Life After the White House*
