When most folks think of older women, the thought of a frail and defenseless person often comes to mind. You know, the helpless little old lady crossing the street stereotype. We probably think of them as shuffling along, moving very slowly from one place to another. However, as you are about to learn, that image is not always reality. In fact, there are times when it is as far from the truth as it could be. Of course, most of us would never harass a grandma out of respect. That said, another factor we never consider is that this older person may have certain experience, let’s just refer to it as “a very particular set of skills,” they may have “acquired” over the years.
These skills may allow them to handle themselves in almost any type of situation, which is one good reason why it’s never good to judge a person by their outward appearance. This is a lesson 3 street punks recently learned the hard way, one which they are not likely to forget anytime soon. It all happened when a 77-year old British grandmother was out for a stroll during the day, and like many people, she realized that she could use a bit of cash.
So she decided to stop at an ATM machine. And that’s when things got interesting. You see, around the same time three young men, Piper Dumitru, Florin Geblescu, and Felix Stoica happened to be passing by while she made her transaction.
As she began her transaction, she suddenly realized that someone had come upon her right side. The man rushed up and pushed her, knocking her off balance.
It was during that moment she realized that there was another man behind her. The grandmother recalled from memory seeing these three men when she was leaving the bank.
When the second man tried to draw 200 British Pounds from her account, he received a nasty and unexpected surprise.
While he was trying to grab the withdrawal, the 77-year-old grandmother grabbed him by the collar and slammed his head into the ATM. Before the three losers could run away with their tales between their legs, she managed to get in three more shots for good measure.
She then reported the incident, and the thugs were picked up in no time.
The police were able to identify one of the men quite easily because Stoica still had blood on his face. All three men are currently serving time in jail. Amazingly, the grandmother had no hard feelings and even felt that the young men should have just been talked to about the situation.
But don’t expect a sequel anytime soon. According to the grandmother, she doesn’t plan to go around serving justice on street thugs.
“They did not care about how this would affect me. I would definitely say this has changed my life, I will never have the confidence I once did. I only hope my confidence returns.”
Well, we can all agree she certainly has the confidence to take care of herself.
