Rescue Dog Is Stuck At Shelter For 94 Days Before His ‘Favorite Volunteer’ Finally Brings Him Home

Dogs are one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind. They are endlessly loyal and have the ability to love without asking for anything in return. Sadly, humans don’t treat dogs the way they deserve. Many horrible human beings would mistreat these noble creatures and leave them out on cold streets.
Thankfully, shelters, like the Lewis and Clarke Humane Society, exist to care for these pets. With the help of various volunteers and workers, Lewis and Clarke serves as a temporary home for these dogs.

Although shelters provide great care for dogs, it’s still different from having a forever home. Because of the hustle and bustle of daily life, not many would consider adopting pets from shelters. That’s why many dogs are forced to see shelters as their permanent home instead of a temporary home.

Bubba Jr. is one of those many dogs who saw the shelter as a permanent home rather than a temporary sanctuary. But one volunteer decided that Bubba Jr’s stay at the shelter was long enough. After having stayed at the shelter for ninety four days, Bubba Jr’s favorite volunteer brought him home.

Their story was so heartwarming that Lewis and Clark Human Society posted it on Facebook in such a unique manner. They posted it as a diary entry from Bubba Jr’s perspective. Needless to say, the post went viral.

In an increasingly individualistic world, Bubba Jr’s diary entry reminds us of how a small act of kindness can monumentally change another creature’s life. The volunteer’s selflessness is an example of love and generosity to all of us.

So if you’re planning to care for a dog, go to a shelter near you and adopt one. You may not hear the words Bubba Jr posted online, but you can be sure that that’s how they’ll feel when you take them home.
