Truth Behind Photo of Horse Apparently Coming to the Rescue of Drowning Blind Dog.
When he saw a dog drowning and in need of rescue, a horse by the name of “Agripin” who was swimming close to the Danube River. Abby, a little blind puppy, had gotten loose from a nearby pier and drifted far from the river shore. She was unable to navigate back to land. As a result, Agripin swam over to the little dog and volunteered to take her back to land.
Agripin was able to stand upright in the water due to the river’s relative shallowness. Abby got up on Agripin’s back and rode back to shore after noticing aid had arrived.
The small dog’s owner, who was observing from shore, was astounded by Agripin’s water rescue of the canine.
Although the aforementioned rescue story is fantastic, it is untrue in every way!
A few years ago, this picture and its related tale received a lot of social media attention.
The dog is not blind, and the horse did not save it, one animal lover on DogHeirs.com wanted to make sure everyone knew. The horse is named Brenda Lee, the dog is named Lucy, and their father, Brian Sean Reid of Horses Know the Way Home, are the best of friends. Jodie Sinclair, an equine photographer, captured the lovely image. The animals are American natives.
Sinclair actually took a few pictures of the attractive couple swimming at the beach.
Sinclair said that Lucy has the same strength and assurance that the tiny dog does. Lucy is “the most independent, courageous, tireless tiny being I have ever encountered,” she wrote on Facebook.
The Facebook page Horses Know the Way Home also observed the photo’s virality and finds the made-up stories amusing. They jokingly ask, “How many lives would Brenda Lee and Lucy save this summer if they worked together?”
The two schedule friend meetings as well!
