Dog Unconditional Love Is Showing As She refuses To Leave Mom In Hospital After Saving Her Life

Dogs are smart enough to be trained for specific tasks, including guiding, rescuing victims, searching for criminals, or working as service dogs. And by being trained, dogs can do many good things, one of which is saving the life of their owners.

A viral picture has recently taken over the Internet, showing Ruby, a service dog, lying side by side taking care of her sick mom in a hospital’s room. Once again, the dog’s unconditional love and loyalty are perfectly shown in real-life situations.

Ruby has been accompanying her owner, Shauna, for several years. But the bond between them is something more than the connection of a service dog with its owner. They have been friends, the true friends. Ruby is there for Shauna round the clock – even when the owner doesn’t realize she needs her. The dog helps her to control her heart rates and blood pressure and overcome panic attacks.

Since last week, sweetheart Ruby started noticing something wrong with her mom’s health and kept alerting her about that. Shauna didn’t understand why. She felt fine but still chose to trust Ruby. She ended up calling an ambulance, and it turned out her dog wasn’t wrong at all.

“It turns out my heart was going into atrial fibrillation,” the woman told The Dodo. “By the time the paramedics came, I was in pain and barely conscious.”

It didn’t take long for Shauna to realize Ruby had just saved her life. Arriving at the hospital, she was rushed to the emergency room, and doctors worked to stabilize her condition. Ruby refused to leave her side, even when she was unconscious. The loyal dog was often seen laying in Shauna’s hospital bed, pressed up against her, hoping her owner could sense she was there and feel safe.

People who got to know their story decided to stop by and visit Shauna and Ruby. Ruby deserves all of our love for her actions. Without her help, Shauna’s life would be very different now.

The bond between them began in 2015 when Shauna decided to adopt Ruby as a service dog to help her in the battle with her anxiety, depression, and agoraphobia. The two fell in love when they first met. When Shauna learned that she was suffering several health problems, including a rare heart condition called vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Ruby started keeping track of her cardiac issues.

“While she was training to be a service dog I noticed that she started picking up on changes in my heart rate and would act funny — for example, paw at me, try to get my attention, get on top of me, etc.”

Ruby’s daily routines consisted of monitoring Shauna’s blood pressure and heart rate. The loyal dog has never left her owner’s side. Please share this story with your family and friends!
