Abandoned Dog Finds A Loving Family After Being Rejected Many Times Because Of His Appearance

Bonnie is a loving Romanian dog who was left wandering the streets for a long time after losing her snout, half of her front left leg, and her tail. Until the proper folks came along, the dog without a nose couldn’t find a home that would offer her a fresh chance.

It is not known exactly what happened to Bonnie, but most likely someone without a heart did that horrible thing. Due to her serious state, she was nearly killed after being rescued and transported to the UK by the Beacon Animal Rescue Center in Canterbury.

Kate Comfort, 29, fell in love with Bonnie after seeing her portrait on the organization’s Facebook page. She couldn’t help her interest in Bonnie after seeing her big eyes and ears.

“At first, convincing my husband was difficult because we already had three dogs, but no one wanted Bonnie, so I told him I’d take her in until we could find her the ideal home,” Kate said.

The fact that no one else wanted to adopt Bonnie pushed Kate to do it herself. The woman stated that the dog’s appearance initially startled her, but she gradually became accustomed to it.

Kate and her husband Ross started fundraising for a prosthetic leg, but the wound on her stump reopened and the couple realized they were considering surgery on Bonnie for ‘purely cosmetic’ reasons, so they made the decision to remove the stump.

The only thing that counts to them right now is that Bonnie is healthy and surrounded by affection, since she is completely flawed and they adore her just the way she is.

Bonnie is a very remarkable dog that deserves to be treated with great respect and more since she is an example of life.

Kate stated,

“Animals are forgiving animals; their tolerance and forgiveness when subjected to brutality and abuse never ceases to astonish me.” I prefer animals to humans and wish we were more like them, therefore instead of people, I’ll probably surround myself with animals.”
