The Dog Refuses To Go Anywhere Without A Stuffed Dog A Confidant

He is always accompanied by a stuffed dog

We often see children very attached to a certain stuffed animal and often carry it with them. A dog, too, can be very attached to a stuffed animal as their confidant and refuse to do anything without them. It is similar to the case of Barley, 1 year old, Golden Retriever who lives in Amsterdam. He will refuse to go anywhere without his stuffed dog Fluffy by his side.

Barley’s owner, Zita Butler, bought a stuffed dog named Fluffy for Barley when they first adopted him as a welcome gift to Barley’s new home.

At the time, Butler hoped that the toy would help Barley fit in, and he loved it—but she wasn’t prepared for how much Barley would take Fluffy. He refuses to do anything – be it walking around the house or going out – without putting Fluffy in his mouth.

Barley and Fluffy are an inseparable pair at this point – so much so that neighborhood neighbors both recognize and love the iconic duo, snapping pictures of them while walking.

Fluffy even looks like Barley, so it’s almost as if Barley is carrying a baby of his own.

In addition to being a very sweet and affectionate dog, Zita Butler describes Barley as an “attention seeker”, “a bit goofy” and a “real adventurer”.
